Working between the Karman Line, fantasy and reality, Stephen cultivates ecosystems of organic, vibrant life. No piece of work is ever planned or prepped. Flow is key. Familiar patterns are subtly inter-woven through the body of work. Things you’ve seen in dreams and never really put back together come to life, while layer upon layer of details seem to unlock as each moment passes.

 

Each microcosm is hand-stretched and gesso’d in-house, ensuring the quality and texture of the starting surface is unmatched. Beginning in ink, moving to spray paint, oils, and finally settling in acrylic, he has explored a variety of mediums in search of the ideal formula for the vision.
